I. 活动宗旨及简介
为了推动中加教育文化交流,弘扬中国语言文化,激发卑诗大学生学习汉语的兴趣,中华人民共和国驻温哥华总领事馆教育组将于10月30日在温哥华举办2009年卑诗省“汉语桥”大学生中文歌曲歌唱比赛。本次比赛由卑诗理工大学孔子学院、加拿大中文教学学会、动梁教育支援与文化交流协会、UBC大学中文部承办,西蒙菲沙大学、维多利亚大学、菲沙河谷大学、昆特兰理工大学、卡比兰诺大学、兰加拉学院等多所大学中文部共同组织。
每位参赛者自选一首中文歌曲演唱,获胜的优秀歌唱者,将有机会得到数额不等的奖金和中国政府提供的汉语学习奖学金及其他各类奖品。欢迎报名参加,欢迎观摩助阵。
II.参赛者资格
本次比赛的参赛者仅限于两岸三地(中国大陆、台湾、香港、澳门、新加坡)以外出生的,就读于卑诗省各大学、学院的在校大学生,不分族裔与国籍,均以出生证明为凭。
参赛者如果以组合演唱的形式报名参赛,一个演出组合最多不超过3人。
III. 比赛程序与规则
1. 演唱语言: 参赛者必须使用国语(普通话)演唱。
2. 评审标准: 本次大赛评分为百分制。评分内容包括5个项目:音准节奏,吐字发音,音色音质,舞台表现,歌曲选择。

3. 评选名次: 本次大赛拟根据参赛人数评选一、二、三等奖。参赛人数在15-30人,评选一等奖1名, 二等奖2名, 三等奖3名,参赛人数若超过31人,评定获奖人次则适当增加。其余所有参赛选手均可以获得一份纪念奖。
4. 比赛时间: 2009年10月30日,下午5:00-6:30注册抽签,决定比赛顺序。晚上7:00 比赛正式开始。

6. 比赛顺序:比赛报到注册时,同时抽签决定比赛顺序。
7. 演唱伴奏: 参赛者报名时必须提交自选歌曲曲谱、歌词与伴奏音带( Backing Track)一份。伴奏音带仅限Audio CD 或MP3 CD两种。欢迎参赛选手自带伴奏乐器自弹自唱。
8.比赛中,组织者有权根据演唱者演唱情况,终止比赛者的演唱,并取消比赛资格。
IV. 奖品
一等奖:500元奖金,以及到中国指定高校汉语学习一年奖学金资格。
二等奖:300元奖金,以及到中国指定高校汉语学习半年奖学金资格。
三等奖:200元奖金,以及到中国指定高校汉语夏令营奖学金资格。

V. 报名办法
1. 报名表格可在中国驻温哥华总领事馆教育组网站、孔子学院网站下载或联系下述报名点老师领取。

2. 报名时,参赛者必须提交报名表、参赛歌曲名、歌词,最好将伴奏音乐的Digital document 一并交给自己的汉语课老师, 转交各校负责报名的老师或通过电子邮件将上述材料传至Confucius_Info@bcit.ca

Singing Contest Introduction
The Education Office of The Chinese Consulate General in Vancouver is proud to present The 2009 “Chinese Bridge” Mandarin Singing Contest on Friday, October 30 at UBC’s Chan Centre for the Performing Arts. The aim of the contest is to enhance China-Canada cultural interaction, promote the Chinese language and culture, and stimulate British Columbian university/college students’ interest in learning Chinese.
Each contestant should choose one Chinese song to perform. The winners will be awarded a cash prize and a Chinese learning scholarship offered by the Chinese government. All contestants will receive a souvenir from the organizers. We invite all qualified BC university/college students to participate in the event, and welcome the general public to come cheer on the contestants.
I. Contestant QualificationContestants must be current BC university/college students of any nationality, born outside of Mainland China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, and Singapore. A birth certificate may be required for registration. Contestants may enter as a group, with a maximum of no more than three people per group.
II. Procedures and Regulations
- Language: all songs must be performed in Mandarin Chinese.
- Judging criteria: Performance will be judged in the following five categories (each worth 20 of 100 points).
- Accuracy in pitch and rhythm;
- Mandarin pronunciation;
- Quality of tone;
- Quality of general performance;
- Difficulty of song.
- Time/Date: 5:00pm-9:00pm/ Friday October 30, 2009
Contestants must check in between 5:00pm-6:30pm. A random draw will be held to decide the order in which contestants will perform. The contest begins at 7:00pm.
- Venue: The Chan Centre at UBC
- Order of performance: at check-in time, each contestant will pick a random number, which will decide when he/she is to perform.
- Background musical accompaniment: all contestants must submit the lyrics and sheet music of the song to be performed. If musical accompaniment is desired, the background music track must also be submitted. (NB: only audio CDs and MP3 files will be accepted.) Alternatively, contestants may also provide and play their own instruments for musical accompaniment
- In the case that a contestant violates any regulation, the judging panel may suspend that contestant and cancel his/her performance.
III. Prizes
First, second, and third prizes will be awarded if the number of contestants totals between 15 and 30. More prizes will be awarded if the number of participants totals 31 or greater. All contestants will receive a souvenir from the organizers.
First Prize: CAN$500 cash and a one-year scholarship for a Chinese language program at a designated university in China.
Second Prize: CAN$300 cash and a half-year scholarship for a Chinese language program at a designated university in China.
Third Prize: CAN$200 cash and a summer camp scholarship at a designated university in China.
